In July to August of 2006, I took part in a World Challenge Expedition to Tanzania. For this i travelled with school mates to the foothills of kilimanjaro. Included in this 1 month expedition was a Acclimatization program in on the nearby Mt Longido, climbing Kilimanjaro itself, a community project in a local school and a rest and relaxation phase.
I successfully climbed to the Uhuru Peak at 5895 Meters, and so far in my life this stands out as one of my biggest accomplishments.
The community project in the local school was a really fun, and was really worth it to see the smiles on the faces of the children when we had finished.
Perponi beach resort was a fantastic location for the rest and relaxation phase, stunning sand’s lush greenery and a turquoise ocean, what more could you ask for?
